Wooden sculpture depicting the crucified Christ made by a Flemish artist of the seventeenth century.
The Corpus Christi presents the typical dictates of the Baroque style, in fact the dynamism is guaranteed by the twisting of the bust and the very wavy drapery.
This sculpture depicts the iconography of the "Christus mortus", or Jesus still crucified dead.
The Christ was made with a thick beard, typical of the Flemish area.
It was made with attention to detail.
Pultroppo has serious shortcomings and cracks (see PHOTO).
