Missing about 1/3 of the title page, torn. Missing the frontispiece

Translation by Nicolas Le Duc, first published in 1738 by the same publisher, of the most printed book in the world after the Bible.

The book is illustrated with four plates engraved by Duflos after Humblot.

Lack of the head cap, small loss of the tail cap, cropped corners, skinned back and joint, rubbing. Frontispiece missing. Missing about 1/3 of the title page. A few frayed leaves and small tears, marginal wetness at the top, traces of ink and marginal tear on the first engraving, more or less foxing, ink stain on p. 275. A few notes and words underlined in pencil and ink. 67470701
