The Hollands Handelmerk mark is found on decorative porcelain objects with a line decor in the spirit of Bert Nienhuis (1873-1960) for De Distel. Apparently around 1915 designs were transferred to O. & E. G. (Oscar and Edgar Gutherz), Altrohlau, Austria and stamped there.
With the characteristic glossy decor of medallions in green and ocher on a white/yellow background. These pieces can be dated between 1915 and 1918.
Very nice vase, depicted in the book Dutch ceramics from the Jugendstil to 2000, by W.D.H. Nail, on page 109, photo 58.
The vase is in excellent condition, no cracks or chips.
