Full contemporary brown calf, decorated spine (some minor wear, some browning). Restoration at lower corner. external of f. 177/178 with loss of some letters. Nice copy.

Morton (1627-1698) was the first to apply the principles of pathology to the study of tuberculosis and to have given a clinical description of anorexia. Morton's works (including the treatise on smallpox) form the 1st vol. In the second one finds various other treatises - especially on smallpox - by Walter Harris (1647-1732), William Cole (1635-1716), Martin Lister (1636-1712) and Thomas Syndenham (1624-1689), Charles Leigh ( 1662-1701), Vincent Ketelaer, Antonio Sidobre...
