louis De Saeger (°Dendermonde 1908 - + Ghent 1980)
Studied at the Academy of Dendermonde led by Maes, Gorus and Gogo, followed lessons at the Academy of Ghent afterwards. In Ghent he meets Gust De Smet and exhibits there with George Rombaut, he then mainly painted views of Dendermonde and Vlassenbroek (this painting shows the "Great Napoleon" - He later settled permanently in Ghent and painted excellent city views, also in Bruges and Louis De Saeger found inspiration on the coast 67474337
