Beautiful cityscape in the style of the 19th century by the Steenwijk artist Lion Arie Feijen (1947) This versatile artist grew up as the son of the painter Leo Feyen, who had an extensive clientele abroad. Lion took over these customers from his father and later sold exclusively privately or through a few galleries, including in Münster (D) and gallery Honingen in the Netherlands. His romantic paintings often sold for more than NLG 10,000.
Lion Feijen strives for ultimate perfection . His work can be recognized by beauty, reality and romance.
After 1990, Feijen started to focus more on still lifes, where he is considered one of the greatest in the Netherlands.
