Ermanno Barovero was born in Turin in 1956. After graduating from high school in 1974, he completed his studies in 1978 at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, where he is now a teacher of Engraving Techniques.
He began exhibiting in 1975. In 1978 he won the "Giacomo Grosso and Felice Casorati" prize from the Cassa di Risparmio di Torino and the Virgilio d'Argento at the "Lubiam" prize in Sabbianeta...
