This painting is painted on cotton canvas stretched on a frame of 2.5 4.5 cm, which has been pre-treated with Gesso, after which a layer of oil paint off-white with structure has been applied, after which my vision of the roofs, with oil paint. It was created by 2 aspects, firstly I visited France in the town of Chinon, if you walk up there, you get a beautiful view over the roofs of the town. Secondly, at the academy I got the assignment to make a painting Theme "minimalism", and this seemed to me a good example to study the roofs, and whether something could be done with this.
