Description: Important polychrome wooden sculpture depicting the Immaculate with the upward motion of the drapery.
It is a typical expression of the Neapolitan Baroque with draping of the cloak, traces of blue and gold, the long dress rests on the cloud and on the lunar sickle (a piece of the lunar sickle is missing).
In the background THREE heads of cherubs peep out (very rare to find 3 heads).
The work also presents the lack of the left arm (long-standing detachment) certainly does not detract from the charm of this work, which after centuries still manages to excite.
Object in good condition, given the age of the item (over 400 years old).
The work can be restored, but the charm of the past would be lost
