Stringaris had worked in Psychiatry in Heidelberg and wrote this monograph at the suggestion of K. Beringer and with the support of K. Wilmanns; Thorough investigations into the psychopathology and psychiatry of intoxicating drugs had been carried out at the Heidelberg clinic in the early 1930s (see Beringer's mescaline intoxication!) 67407035
