The Dutch painter Hans Mijnsbergen was born in 1945 in Goes and now lives in Zwijndrecht. He also calls himself 'J.J. Mijnsbergen' and usually signs his work with 'Mijnsbergen'.
Mijnsbergen paints many romantic cityscapes, (winter) landscapes, old ships, still lifes and certainly beach scenes, sometimes in the style of the Hague School. Birds and other animals are also a favorite subject for him. He often finds these around the house, or somewhere on location. He makes 'own work', but sometimes uses historical paintings as an example. In order to do justice to his painterly qualities, Mijnsbergen always works on wooden panel. 67550455
