Condition: Missing headdresses, 1 bit split on 3 cm, solid hinges, 3 corners trimmed, back with nerves decorated with gilded florets and the title piece of garnet morocco, title printed in red and black, rather fresh interior, speckled edges, ex-pen libris on the title and engraved ex-libris. Complete.

Book illustrated with a pretty allegorical frontispiece.

Jackson is a little-known London physician living in the Netherlands, he was notable for his formulas that were printed in Fuller's pharmacopoeia throughout the eighteenth century.

A rare treatise on various diseases, their symptoms, causes and therapeutic remedies. Among the many conditions he describes are epilepsy and seizures, paralysis, arthritis and rheumatic diseases, asthma, bulimia, angina, pleurisy, dizziness, diabetes, rickets and wounds.
