Very beautiful art deco candlestick from the “Verreries de Val Saint Lambert” Belgique.
This model was named “GRIFFON”. At the corners of the base of the candlestick there are 4 griffons, creatures from Greek mythology. Here a combination of clear and matt-satin glass was used
Designed by Charles Graffart/René Delvenne, from the 1935 Luxval catalog.
top diameter -6.3 cm.
Base diameter - 12.8 cm
Height - 27.2 cm.
Color – combination of clear and matte satin glass.
Condition - very good, chip on the underside of the plinth barely visible.
Glass threads and/or air bubbles are inherent to this production and are completely normal.
