Binding (publisher) half-leather, spine with 4 guilloché raised bands, cold-stamped florets in the compartments, title and volume number label in morocco leather. Marbled dishes. Marbled slices.
Rubbing and wear from use on the backs which are fragile and with some gaps, some split or fragile joints. Rubbing and wear from use on the corners (dull) and edges. Interior a little soiled by use and some foxing, endpapers with so-called "scaled" patterns. Large glued sticker of coats of arms as well as a dry stamp on the title pages of all the volumes, of the same coat of arms (see photo of details).
Despite the reported binding defects, the works are sound and the bindings have remained decorative. 67513189
