Gerardus Mercator (1512-1594) made this atlas, but this is called the Torun copy of Mercator's atlas from 1595, the year after his death.

The first part contains 33 maps, namely 4 of the world and 29 starting with the North Pole and then a number of European countries.
The 2nd part in this atlas has 22 maps (Italy and Greece).
