Complete set of Chateaubriand's 'Historical Studies' published in the excellent collective edition of the author's works, in 36 vol. at Pourrat. Four volumes well printed on strong paper, each title is adorned with an engraved vignette.
Under contemporary binding, green half-sheepskin, decorated smooth spine, repeated blind finials, gilt fillets forming boxes, title and author. Dishes with embossed decoration.
Condition: Bindings in good condition. Slight defects (rubbed caps and corners). Fairly fresh interior, generally scattered foxing, more frequent on certain pages. In good general condition.
