Schuco Patent no. 1050 Mercedes Studio Racing car with clockwork motor
made in US-Zone Germany (1946 to approx. 1960)
Color: dark blue
Condition: In minimal played-with condition. The rubber tires (with rarer stud profile / winter profile) and the drive wheel rubber are original and nicely round, but somewhat dried out / hardened after 75 years.
The winding mechanism can be wound up smoothly and works, also the steering of the front wheels (both tested).
No newer production, original Schuco 1940s/1950s, see stapled differential on photo 5.
Note: This is an original Schuco with the winding hole on the right side, before the war these racers were released with the winding hole on the left side. The metal plate between the rear wheels is stapled, as shown in the photo of the underside. With the Repros from the 1980s, this is no longer stapled and completely smooth. So I am selling the original version here and not a replica from the 1980s or more recent.
