Guy Vandenbranden is an important Belgian artist, born in 1924 and died in 2014. He belongs to the 2nd generation of constructivists and is considered by many to be the founder of post-war constructivism in Belgium. He held his first exhibition in 1950 and remained very active until his death. His works can be viewed in, among others, the Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp, the SMAK in Ghent, MuZee in Ostend, ...

The offered work has no title and is a purely abstract geometric construction with clear, pure colours. Signed and numbered in pencil at the bottom right.

The work is professionally and luxuriously framed and with glass. it therefore weighs 8 kg.
Because of the glass, it is also difficult to take nice pictures without light or flash. 56536273
