Two antique, wonderfully ornate and elegant solid brass candleholders with baroque style elements.
Provenance is probable early 19th or even late 18th century, according to similar patterns and embellishments in candlesticks dating to a similar timeframe in France. It’s likely that the pair were altar candlestick in a church in France and sold off in the late 20th or 21th century.
The Herculean candleholders have been partly polished but a beautiful patina as well as their aged and antique look remain.
The candleholders are in a very good condition- slight imperfections due to aging with some scratches and also candle rests to be visible, just add to the antique and very exclusive look of the bronze candleholders.
There are no parts missing. Please see photos for condition and good state!
