Bernd Rosemeyer drove Auto Union's mid-engine 'Silver Arrow' to victories in the German, Swiss and Italian Grand Prix races, earning him the European Drivers' Championship that year.
In recognition of its achievements, Auto Union commissioned this special streamlined Horch coupé with a body built by Erdmann & Rossi to a design by their employee Johannes Beeskow.
Equipped with an 8 cylinder SOHC inline engine with a displacement of 4,494cc that breathes through a single carburettor, it delivers 120 hp at 3600 rpm.
This Horch was one of the great Autobahn cruisers of its time, loved in Europe for its commanding presence and modern strength.
