Fragment of incunable Bible edition, printed in Basel, October 27, 1495. Remarkably small format (octavo), very finely printed with initials in red and blue.
Two leaves (i.e. 4 pages) from resp. Kings and Jeremiah. Gothic font in two columns, 54 lines.
Attached is the later, presumably 18th or early 19th century binding in which the book was once bound. Leather binding with 'BIBLIA SACRA' and 'ED. FROBEN 1495'. Top spine torn, copy of title and index pasted on glossy paper. From a German collection.
