Beautiful long rose gold filled double necklace with a beautiful gold shine and a chain closer in the shape of a heart with opal and 2 rubies (glass).
Hallmarked on the last link with "Charnier" and another unclear stamp.
Necklace size: 180 cm L and 2 mm Br.
Chain closer : 12 mm L x 10 mm Br.
The usually long gold-plated chains were used in those days for hanging pocket watches, but the ladies also made clever use of them by hanging them around their necks as decorative chains with chain closers.
Among the less fortunate who could not afford precious metal jewelry, these necklaces were a godsend and very popular!
