The Rothschild Prayer Book belongs to the most beautiful and precious Book of Hours. This Flemish masterpiece of illumination was made in the period between 1510 and 1520 and intended for a high-ranking unknown. With a large number of color miniatures, fancy borders and sumptuous large initials, the Rothschild Prayer Book stands out among the numerous Flemish prayer books from the time between 1480 and 1520 decorated to the highest artistic standards.
