Book produced under the direction of Raymond Jacquet. The printing of the engravings is due to Paul Massin. The printing of the text and ornaments is due to Roger Fontaine, it is composed in Garamond by Madeleine Jacquet. The reproduction of Marty's watercolors is due to the patient selection of colors and to the the meticulous wood engraving Raymond Jacquet and Dominique Darr.
Slipcases adorned on the covers with a large gilt motif, covers with thick flaps illustrated with color watercolors on the front cover, folders decorated with a gilt ironwork motif on the covers and the spine, paperbacks in good condition, clean interior and fresh. Rubbing from use (not serious) on casings, corners, borders and spine. Shirts in good general condition. Clean and fresh interiors, the watercolors are vivid and shimmering.
140 color illustrations including 79 headers and 61 tailpieces in the text. The text is entirely framed by a floral motif. Edition of 1950 copies. In perfect condition inside, watermarked in the name of the Publisher, One of the 1650 copies on Velin pure fil de Rives numbered from 301 to 1950, our copy N° 1215.
