The top has a brass finish as an edge, a star shape of oak veneer, surrounded by coromandel veneer.
Coromandel is a valuable wood from India and Sri Lanka. It is a hazelnut brown color, with black stripes, very heavy and hard.
I have been a professional restorer of antique furniture for about 30 years. This side table is certainly one of the nicest to have passed through my restoration workshop.
I personally oversaw the restoration. Stable and sturdy.
