FEDERICO ROSSANO, one of the main exponents of the Neapolitan nineteenth century. Oil on canvas 29cm x 39cm. Very refined and rare work by Maestro Federico Rossano depicting a naked woman or a nymph on the shores of a lake, in a French coeval frame. Work certainly dating back to his Parisian period when, according to the famous art critic of the early 1900s Emilio Cecchi and not without a controversial note, he was influenced by the last corot (which in turn in its last period gave itself to the production of mythological works, preferably nymphs present on the banks of marshes. Source "Federico Rossano" author Raffaele Fossataro, ed. Martello 1960). In the first canvas but the frame was replaced about fifty years ago. the frame is considered a gift and therefore we are not liable for any damage caused to it during transport. 67126349
