In 1922 he became a professor at the Bauhaus in Weimar, to which Paul Klee was already affiliated. Here began the most productive period of Kandinsky's life. He himself called it "time, characterized by a lyrical geometry". When the Bauhaus moved to Dessau in 1925, he held the same position there. As late as 1922, he realized a monumental decor over the 4 walls of the Salon for the Jurifreie Kunstausstellung in Berlin. This work of art was reconstructed at the National Museum of Modern Art (M.N.A.M.) in Paris, in 1977.
In 1924 he founded another group of artists, "Die Blauen Vier", with Lyonel Feininger, Paul Klee and Alexej von Jawlensky.
Besides numerous of his theoretical considerations, which appear in the "Bauhaus-Bücher", he also worked on his "Punkt und Linie zu Fläche", published in 1926.
