Selling here is a very scarce example of Prosper Mérimée's, 'Carmen'. Limited to 425 copies, this being number 129. Illustrated by Jean Traynier. Bound in the original wraps, with slipcase.
Condition: The binding has wear and light edge loss/chipping, bumping to head/tail and all four corners. Contents: In good order, toned, some spotting to page edges and with the odd grubby mark. Off-setting from plates to text. Page edges rough. Blindstamp to corner of last leaf. A nice example overall. Slipcase spotted and worn. Please see our images for further description.
