The streamlined trend in the mid-1930s was also adopted by Volvo. The Volvo PV36 was popularly called "Carioca".
The car was quiet, smooth, pricey and slightly controversial. It was built from 1935 - 1938, 500 units in total and 1 (!) convertible.
The six-cylinder in-line with side valves of 3670 cc delivered 80 hp at 3300 rpm. With its six seats, it was extremely comfortable and quiet. The Swedish classic par excellence!
Best of Show - BoS - produced the Volvo PV36 in an edition of only 252 pieces. !!
