Beautiful 'Egmont' vase from the Luxval 1935 collection, designed by Charles Graffart and René Delvenne for Val Saint Lambert, in the color Olive, combined with gilded elements.
(Namely, the four embossed stripes along both sides as well as the two flat rectangular pieces are gold-plated, the flowers of which are satin-finished :
frozen glass.
The vase shows a line (so-called 'glass thread') at the top edge, this is not damage, photo 6. Air bubbles and glass threads are normal in the production process of the 1930s.
The object is in perfect condition, apart from wear to the gold-plated layer. Marked in the bottom: 'VSL Belgique'
