The car is equipped with the original 595 cc engine, unconverted. As this is the original engine of the R version, it is already a more powerful engine than the previous versions. As with all R models, it has a synchronised gearbox.
An original Abarth silencer has been fitted to the car.
The engine is well preserved and regularly serviced. The car will be delivered with a valid MOT.
The bodywork was fully restored about five years ago and painted in Rosso Ferrari. To make it more like the Abarth SS, some work was done to widen the sides, with the addition of custom fenders and bumpers.
The sills, mudguards and bumpers are made of fibreglass to make the car lighter.
The front end is fitted with an original Abarth frieze from the period and a pair of additional headlights.
The car is rust free and the bottom is new. Vintage racing alloy wheels were fitted to complete the look.
On the interior, vintage racing seats were fitted. The seats do not fold down but slide back and forth.
The carpet and rugs are new. The steering wheel is racing style. The dashboard has been modified to accommodate 5 instruments and includes a working rev counter and clock. Modern car radio in working order.
