Most freshwater pearls are nucleated by tissue, but Edison cultured pearls are nucleated with beads, exactly as saltwater pearls.
This luxurious necklace contains Edison Pearls which were chosen for their bright luster that can be compared with that of high-end saltwater pearls, and for their beautiful shimmering lavender, grey and golden colour shades.
The pearls have some light natural growth characteristics on the surface that do not detract from the elegance of the necklace.
The pearls measure 10.5x13.5mm in diameter, creating a statement with this luxurious style.
The necklace is strung by hand with knots between each pearl for safety and is completed with a secure invisible clasp.
One end pearl receives a fine quality screw and the other end pearl a bolt mechanism. The clasp easily functions by pushing one pearl against the other and gently twisting it counter clockwise to unlock, and clockwise to lock. Upon closure, the screws are fully hidden, offering a clean and elegant look.
At 47cm the necklace sits nicely under the collarbone.
