I am an independent contemporary artist from the Netherlands. Landscapes and animals are my main subject. The inspiration comes from observing nature. I am inspired by great landscape artists from the 20th and 19th century such as Van Gogh, Breitner, Israëls, Jan Altink and Jannes de vries from the Groninger Ploeg but also Isaac Levitan and Helmer Osslund. I paint Realism but I am inspired by de Haagse school. You have to see and feel that my paintings are painted with brushstrokes and layers. All of my paintings are drawn by hand and painted with quality oil paint on quality canvasses. My paintings are collected internationally and can be found in private and corporate collections in Europe, Asia and the United States
