Beautiful set of 6 Baccarat crystal water glasses, luxurious variant of the Douai model.
The Douai service is a model cut with palmettes, from the 1890s, uncommon and very neatly crafted. The intricate carved design is perfectly executed. The model we have here is a very sophisticated variant with a star-cut foot and a 6-sided cut baluster foot.
Our glasses, old productions from before 1936 (probably late 19th century), do not bear the signature of the crystal factory, and are not represented in the catalogs that we have at our disposal, but the model is a compilation of several known models. : Douai for the carved pattern, Libourne for the foot.
