Very beautiful antique fire-gilt bronze foot or plinth in Empire style that is beautifully decorated with women's heads from classical antiquity.

Beautifully finished with lion claws at the bottom of the legs.

Dates from circa 1880 and is in beautiful condition.

Presumably there was a glass bowl at the top.
