Kreel Daamen worked for several years in the studio of the modernist genre painter Cor de Wolff from whom he learned the art of painting.
Although he distorted his subjects somewhat, he never lost sight of reality.
Daamen painted portraits, landscapes, still lifes, biblical and folk scenes in a smooth, expressionist style with striking, powerful colors.
In addition to paintings, he also made graphic work. 67508281
