Beautiful time image from the sixties with a street scene with 'long-haired thugs' and greased quiffs on one side and passers-by grabbing their heads on the other. Dimensions: drawing: 28 x 18.5 cm, cardboard: 36.5 x 26 cm., with passe-partout.
Part of the educational series 'Van Nul tot Nu' (1982-1987, 1994), which Loerakker made together with the writer Thom Roep. The series provides a chronological overview of Dutch history, aimed at a young audience. 'Van Nul tot Nu' is still used in primary education.

Co Loerakker (1949) is a Dutch illustrator and cartoonist for books and magazines. He mainly worked for magazines such as Donald Duck, Bobo and Eppo/Wordt Vervolgd. The series 'Van Nul tot Nu' is seen as his most important work.
