Catawiki’s goal is to make special objects universally available. Our weekly auctions feature thousands of unusual, rare, and exceptional objects you won’t find in just any store. Ecclesiastical frieze in 19th century cloth Entirely hand embroidered with the addition of authentic gold and silver threads. In the center appears the inscription "IHS", abbreviation of the name of Jesus Christ in Greek, furthermore there are embroideries with grapes and fringes on the sides, always with gold threads. These works were carried out in the convents by nuns who were very skilled in these types of works. I point out the flaking of the threads from the mother tissue, with the possibility of recovery or to be kept hanging without restoration work. Measures 58x53 cm excluding fringes. Due to current regulations, it cannot be shipped outside the European Union. 67257001
