Catawiki’s goal is to make special objects universally available. Our weekly auctions feature thousands of unusual, rare, and exceptional objects you won’t find in just any store. “The Giant Grape” is Solis` most famous and most beautiful Bible illustration. First used in; "Biblische Figuren deß Alten Testaments", Franckfurt am Mayn, 1562. In the 16th century the woodblocks were used in several other bible editions. The exact edition, from which these prints come from is not identified.

Most copies found today, were printed on paper of low quality, which has become heavily toned. The impression, sold here is on clean, untoned paper.

Ca. 7.5 x 11.7 cm; good impressions; a small, backed tear (?) at upper margin of Giant Grape; two prints with remaining mounting material; printed text on reverse; clean paper.
