ANTHOLOGY OF SONGS BY DIFFERENT AUTHORS ON THE OCCASION OF WEDDINGS of the most illustrious and excellent personalities of the time, among which, first of all, the wedding between Taddeo Barberini and Anna Colonna (14 October 1627), celebrated by Barberini's uncle, Pope Urban VIII in Castelgandolfo. Taddeo Barberini (Rome, 1603 - Paris, 1647), Italian soldier and nobleman, Prince of Palestrina (later Prefect of Rome), Commander of the papal army, was the brother of cardinals Francesco Barberini and Antonio Barberini. Thanks to his uncle's well-known nepotism, he was among those who heavily influenced the politics, religion, art, music, and architecture of 17th-century Roman society.

In 8th. pp. (8), 173. Later binding in full marbled leather, with spine with four raised bands. Title in gold embossed on the spine. Restored title page. Burnished edges. Light foxing. Copper engraved drop caps, front and end caps. Chalcographic frontispiece depicting a coat of arms uniting the heraldic bees of the Barberinis with the single column of the Colonnas, erected in Castel Gandolfo on the occasion of the Barberini-Colonna marriage.
