PAC-MAN rises to the rank of a work of art thanks to a collaboration with sculptor RICHARD ORLINSKI

To celebrate PAC-MAN's 37th anniversary, a series of great sculpts designed by Richard Orlinski in collaboration with Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe have been released.

By chance one day, Toru Iwatani ordered a pizza, ate a slice of it... and invented PAC-MAN, the legendary character with the big mouth in the shape of a circle.

The simplest ideas are sometimes the best! Little did Mr. Iwatani, now a professor at Tokyo Polytechnic University, know that by ordering his pizza, he would make video game history. And yet, 37 years later, PAC-MAN is still an archetypal character in video games. Not content with revolutionizing the arcades of the 1980s, Namco made PAC-MAN a pop culture icon.

Richard Orlinski shapes and sublimates reality. He creates timeless and lively art objects that arouse emotions.

Richard Orlinski is the world's best-selling French contemporary artist. Designed around the Born Wild concept, his sculptures testify to a deep reflection on animal instinct and human nature in a resolutely modern style that never succumbs to trash, extravagance or ephemerality.

His guiding principle is to make art accessible to as many people as possible. Exhibited in more than 90 galleries around the world, he doesn't hesitate to break the codes by exhibiting for free and in the open air, as is currently the case in the cities of Montélimar and Saulieu, among others. He likes to settle in atypical places and accommodates the public. 67214047
