This heliogravure comes from the book Jan Mankes by Albert Plasschaert and Just Havelaar with an introduction by A. Mankes-Zernike 1928.
The engraving is still attached to the original paper at the top.

Jan Mankes, also called "Holland's most tranquil painter". Recent exhibitions have only increased the appreciation for his work.
