JOS VERHEUGEN, a Dutch painter in Paris

The Paris-based artist Jos Verheugen is nowadays primarily known for his portraits and Mondrian transformations. However, in an earlier phase of his painting career animals, whether modeled from life or the result of an alternative evolution, were an important subject matter. With his typical harsh realistic painting style he placed his objects in a white emptiness. "Daily life is already complicated enough, I want total simplicity on my canvasses", the painter argued in an interview in 2004. Several of these older works are now exceptionally proposed for sale.

The indicated dimensions include the frame. The item will be sent straight from the workplace of the artist to the buyer, the parcel includes an invoice (also document of authenticity). 67213039
