His marked aptitude for art led him to attend the Liceo Artistico, the Academy of Fine Arts and then the Scuola Libera del Nudo in his native Naples, graduating brilliantly. He exhibited for the first time in 1960 in a personal exhibition at the "G. 59" Gallery in Naples and subsequently set up and performed over 30 personal exhibitions and participated in over 100 group exhibitions.
