The Imperial Guard Mamluk Squadron is a light cavalry unit of Egyptian origin, created by Napoleon Bonaparte on his return from Egypt, and in service with the French army from 1801 to 1815. This corps is the third formation of cavalry integrated into the Imperial Guard and its first foreign element.
