Very beautiful pitcher in Pétiz pewter. It presents a decor of putti playing and riding dolphins on a seabed. Some of them are carried by the foam and lit by a lighthouse. At the level of the neck, four seahorses are separated by shells and surmounted by foam. The grip is in the shape of a draped nymph. This beautiful object is in excellent condition and signed by the artist Jean Maurice Petizon (1855-1922) known as PETIZ. Artist who worked around 1900. He is renowned for the quality of his vases and in particular for this unique example.
