This is a unique work painted on cardboard.

The work carried out by Akore, 'The Pearl Girl Wears Zara' in reference to one of the most representative works of Johannes Vermeer, intends to be a tribute to the entire Afro community, historically forgotten in the great classic works and seeks to give them through this recreation a central space and protagonist.

Description of the artist...

Akore is considered one of the most active and recognized street artists in Barcelona and Spain. He is known for his works made with the 'stencil' technique and is part of the urban scene such as Banksy, Martin Whatson, Takashi Murakami, Basquiat, Keith Haring, Warhol, Obey, Okuda, Pichiavo or C215.

He has participated in numerous individual and collective exhibitions, events and international projects.
His work has been published in National Geographic, Greenpeace, MTV, El Periódico de Catalunya, La Vanguardia, among many other prestigious media. He has appeared in the documentary series on art 'This is Art' broadcast in more than 50 countries around the world.

He is known in the street art scene for his colourful, powerful and expressive Afro style.
His unique style revolves around post-graffiti.
His portraits and paintings of African tribal women reflect the soul of Mother Africa, with
with whom he has always felt connected spiritually.
His work is clearly influenced by urban culture, Hip-Hop, PopArt, African-American movements and culture, by African aesthetics.
