Janus Sibens was painter, draughtsman, house painter born in Wouw (Roosendaal) on 1906-09-23 and died in Eindhoven on 1964-05-26. He painted numerous landscapes in summer and winter scenes in Eindhoven. He was a skilled painter who is also mentioned in Pieter Scheen's art lexicon.

The offered work shows a beautiful work by his hand; a summer landscape with a cows standing in the water. The work is signed on the bottom right.
