Bernard Charles Louis appears, from 1826, among the regular printers of the prints of Henry Monnier (1799-1877; they are, for the most part, published in series: Récréations, Londres (1826), les Grisettes (1827), Paris alive, illustrations of the Chansons de Béranger, le Temps (1828), and sold by deliveries. These pen lithographs are also available in color. Bernard works with Théophile Delarue, his son-in-law whom he takes as a partner from 1827. They therefore sign their prints Bernard and Delarüe, the company name of the printing house being Bernard and Th. Delarüe.
