The Märklin decoder 60840 is a universal Motorola (MM) switching decoder, especially intended for controlling accessories that require a permanent contact. These can be, for example, turnout motors, but also circuits for lighting, sounds, etc. Each decoder output (4 units per decoder) has its own 1x changeover switch. This allows you to build both on-off and a switchover.
The decoder is programmed with built-in dip switches and then has 4 consecutive addresses in the central unit, each with two states.
